GMC Terrain: Bulb Replacement / Taillamps
To replace one of these lamps:
- Open the liftgate. See Liftgate.
- Remove the two screw caps
and two screws from the
taillamp assembly.
- Pull the taillamp assembly out
of the vehicle body.
- Disconnect the lamp wiring
harness.
- Turn the bulb socket
counterclockwise and pull
it out.
- Pull the bulb straight out of the
socket.
- Push the replacement bulb
straight into the bulb socket.
- Push the bulb socket in and
turn it clockwise.
- Reverse Steps 2–5 to reinstall
the lamp assembly.
To replace one of these bulbs:
Open the hood. See Hood.
Remove the bulb access cap
from the top of the headlamp
assembly by turning it
counterclockwise...

Other information:
The vehicle has an engine coolant
temperature gauge on the
instrument cluster and overheat
messages in the Driver Information
Center (DIC) to warn of engine
overheating. See Engine Coolant
Temperature Gauge.
The decision may be made not to lift
the hood when the engine coolant
temperature gauge is in the
overheat zone or an engine
overheat DIC message displays, but
instead to get servic..
If the ACC is set at a desired speed
and then the brakes are applied,
ACC is disengaged without erasing
the set speed from memory.
To begin using ACC again, press
RES+ briefly while moving more
than 5 km/h (3 mph). The vehicle
returns to the previous set speed.
